A two minute walk leads you to the friendly village pub, serving food, ‘The Cyder Presse’. Five minutes further leads to the village park with a children’s playground, playing field and community orchard. Look out for the ‘Tarka Trail’ walking and cycling route, allowing you to cycle along to the beach for lunch, with a good choice of great little cafés, pubs and restaurants along the way.
The nearest shops are 5 minutes away in Torrington. These include fabulous local butchers, bakers, greengrocers, chemist, Co-Op, Lidl and M&S Simply food. Most other major supermarkets are within a 10 minute drive and Bideford has a great selection of small independent shops, well worth a browse, plus a great modern art gallery with a French café, The Burton.
